Time to warm your belly !

It may not be the best season in terms of temperatures, because it’s super cold, but the food level is by far one of the best! (And this is not a debate 😒)

We're in winter, the season of hot but also greasy dishes that lift our spirits in this period. But be careful about the fat these dishes bring. 

Here, in my opinion, the best of all these dishes and an address to eat and fill your stomach: 

• The unmissable Raclette 

Even if I admit I don’t wait until winter to eat it, it’s still one of the best winter dishes. 

Made from bread, charcuteries, vegetables and cheese that you grill yourself and pour over potatoes. Explained like that, it seems banal but it’s still so good.

Eating it at home with family and friends is the best way for me to eat it, but if you don’t want to mess with the shopping, the connections… I know a place you might like. 

I propose the Basque raclette at «Osaba»

Located at 29, rue Saint-Placide, Paris 6e. 

• Fondue

In the same style as raclette; at the base made from melted cheese, for example for Savoyard fondue, it is also available in Chinese or chocolate fondue. 

We leave with a base of sauce depending on the fondue that we have chosen so cheese, Chinese broth or even chocolate, which we will make in a pot. . 

In this sauce, we dip the food (bread, meat or fruit) to bring them taste and swallow the bite.

For this meal, it will be the restaurant Chalet Savoyard, located at 58 rue de Charonne, Paris 11th. 

• Soup

Yes, I know I know! It’s a commonplace dish but it’s a sure bet, even more so when it’s hot, well mixed, well spiced in taste. And I’m sorry, if there’s a dish I couldn’t forget to mention here, it’s this one. 

For soup, even if the best is that of our grandmother, I recommend the restaurant «Giraudet» located 16 rue Mabillon, Paris 6e 

• The tartiflette 

That’s what I used to eat on the ski, but it’s just as good. But as a general rule, when there is a story of cheese melted or gratined, it can only be good ! 

Made from potatoes, bacon, onions and cheese… It's also similar to its predecessors. 

Generally speaking, a raclette restaurant makes tartiflette. But just not to mention the same restaurant, here’s another one. 

The restaurant «les marmottes» located at 26 rue de la grande truanderie, Paris 1er 

• The hot chocolate

I know it’s not a dish, but I couldn’t write an article without quoting it anyway... 

The famous hot chocolate, the famous drink that beats our days in pajamas in front of Netflix. 

In addition there are a multitude of variants. Moka, marshmallows, whipped cream, vanilla…

Although there are Starbucks, McDonald’s, Tim Hortons… one of the best is Hoct & Loca. One of the best chocolate I’ve ever tasted. 

It is located at 99 rue de la Verrerie, Paris 4th.
