HOW ABOUT A FAMILY PARTY ?!

So today, we are on a lifestyle article that wants to relax, a chiiill article !

That’s why I decided to go on an activity that could be done with family.

What could be more relaxing than to have a good time with loved ones? (There’s Netflix and hot chocolate obviously but chuuut!)

I go to introduce you to 2-3 DIY activities (Do it yourself)

Some fun, easy and inexpensive DIY activities to do at home with your little Loulous (or even the big ones)

I’m going to introduce you to several as I told you so if you don’t like one, jump directly to the one that attracts you the most.

Here we go !

  • Remixed version of snowballs

You can transform snowballs by adapting them to other periods or seasons of the year.

  • It is very simple ! You will need a mason jar, figurines, small trees or other miniature decorations for the landscape of the ball, strong glue and optional, sequins or minis stars…

  • The process is just as simple. You will first take the lid of the jar, arrange and glue your small figurines and decorations that you had planned for the decor, you put aside the time that the glue takes. Then, you fill the jar, until most of the bowl and add in the glitter, stars, mini beads… everything you chose.  You then put some glue on the outer edges of the jar and close the jar with the lid you had set aside. You wait until the glue dries to avoid any accidents and that’s it ! A Christmas ball revisited.

  •  Watercolor cups

Here is a playful DIY while being useful because you will be able to create a style of cups for the pleasure of the eyes of your future guests (lots of !)

  • You will need white cups (or another solid color but you must be sure that the color of the cup will match the color of the watercolor effect), nail polish of the color of your choice and hot water, and a bowl.

  • That’s how you do it. Follow me and you’ll be fine : You put hot water in your bowl. The hotter it's, the easier it's to handle. Then you will drip in the nail polish of the color you have chosen. With a toothpick, you will pass and iron in the nail polish, in the water, to form a marbled effect. Then soak your cup quickly and let it dry.

And now, the next hour of tea will be the funniest.

  • Bocaux lumineux

For the decoration of your different rooms. Parents as children, it suits everyone.

  • You will need a small mason, bright sticks (you know those of the children we find in the holidays), glitter, a scissors and strong glue.

  • You will take the bright sticks and after cracking them to light up, using the scissors, cut their ends and put the liquid in the pot. Then add the glitters of your choice. Pour water into the pot and don’t forget to seal it with glue if you suck with your little Boutchous. And shake the pot a few times. Then, if everything went well, you have your luminous jar!

I know I said 2-3 but the more I write, the more ideas I have in mind.

Come on, just the last two and I’ll leave you. But at least you’ll have something to do with those little monsters.

  • The can pots

Instead of throwing away your cans, you can make some pretty good decorations, you knew that ? Wait, let me explain !

  • You will need empty cans to remove the lid to avoid accidents. You will also need ropes, hot glue gun (I think that strong glue also can be okay), and all other decorations that you would like to put on the pots (flowers, paintings, paint cans, stickers, etc.)

  • So, for the first part, I’ll let you do it alone and not take any risks with the kids. You will remove the label from the cans, thoroughly rinse and wipe off excess water. You will wrap and glue the rope from the base of the can to the top of it, as shown in the illustration.

  • And now you can bring in the kids for the decoration. Dye pots with paint cans, paint with brushes, stickers, sequins or any other decorations… Just let your imagination speak!

  • Custom tables

This activity, I had the idea just this weekend. I did it with my little nephews and how can I tell you that it gave me two hours of rest and them two hours of joy and creativity.

  • You will need white canvas (not necessarily the most perfect quality, just simple canvas. You can get it for cheap, like Action). Wooden letter, paint, glue, felt tips and other sequins, stickers…

  • The process is a little longer than the first activities but it’s worth it. You will start by choosing the letters that make up the name of the owner of the painting and you will paint them in the color of his choice. Several colors make it better than one but it's according to the tastes of the owner of the painting. It will take at least 2 layers to get a nice letter. Let the letters dry completely for at least 15 minutes. Then we take the painting. You will ask the owner of the painting (if he's old enough to know how to write his first name), to arrange the letters of his first name as he wishes; and you will stick the letters to the chosen places on the canvas. The most complicated is done.

  • Now, you just have to let the imagination speak, you put at their disposal the markers, the painting and you let them decorate the painting at their convenience. Of course, you stay close to help if you need anything.  And now you have artwork🖼️. There's nothing left but hanging it on the wall. Once again the little chefs will decide where.

Piouuufff, I have given as much entertainment as I know to occupy your weekends surrounded by your children. As I said, it can be suitable for adults too. Even I made them (even if I am a big child)

Anyway… I’m talking too much here… I’ll see you next week!
