La fripe , c'est chic !

Unfortunately, we’ve gone through, we’re going through, or we’re going to go through a lot of hard times in the wallet.

I have an anecdote about the galley and the rice, but it won’t be for today.

I think that like me, you're aware that even in times of hardship (or simply if you like these places) you can shop for nothing. And it’s to show you all that I’m going to talk to you about the thrift store 😌

There are several types in France, so I will introduce you to 2-3. Rather 5 but…

  • Kilo shop

Presents all over France and in my opinion, one of the best concepts of thrift stores.

Kilo Shop is a concept of selling by kilo, second hand clothing and accessories.

The price of each item is determined by its weight.

Example: the kilo of dresses at 36€ (in the one where I had the opportunity to go) and believe me, it takes dresses to reach 1KG

  • Free’P’Star - 61 rue de la Verrerie, Paris.

Parisian vintage boutique. You will find dresses from the 60s, 70s, fur coats and shoes for 10 euros.

For vintage fans, this is a paradise!

  • Groucho - 1 place de la Bourse, Toulouse

A large area where you can find a collection of clothing and accessories from the 70s.

Quality products from top brands: tuxedos, fur, collectibles, gloves, glasses, jeans, etc. Whatever you’re looking for, you find your happiness.

As a former Toulousaine, you can trust me and go there with your eyes closed.

  • Jimi Vintage - 10 rue romarin, Lyon

For you, my friend from Lyon or living near Lyon, this one is for you!

Not very far from the Place des Terreaux, a small shop not bad, which hides beautiful things !

Whether it’s rock jackets, evening dresses, retro glasses, there are plenty of good things.

  • New Puces - 6 rue de l’université, Montpellier

A little trip to Montpellier. I have to tell you something, I don’t know this city, I mean… I’ve never been there. So thank F for the address.

A real gold mine, known to vintage addicts.

There's everything from the trendy room to the most unlikely clothes, you will find your happiness in this joyful bazaar.

  • Kilochic - 40 cours de la Somme, Bordeaux

We end with the second city of my heart, Bordeaux.

A thrift store in the same delirium as Kiloshop.

Sale of new or used clothing by kilo or piece. Between €1 and €5/piece or €5/kilo, you will find everything: bric-à-brac, shoes, clothes, jewellery, etc.

Well I think we’re pretty good and anyway I was short, I didn’t do all of France either 🙄

And, sure, it’s not Dior or Fendi, but if you’re a lucky person, you might come across some rare pearls. And above all, take note of this sentence: scratched or not, it's the person who makes the outfit and not the other way around.
